As most of you know, the Chapter revised its
bylaws to conform our fiscal year with that
of the national organization. One of the
byproducts of that conformation has been
new officer elections. The results of that
election shown elsewhere in this edition
reflect that I have been selected by you
to lead our collective efforts to make our
Chapter the best possible over the coming
two years. I'm delighted with your support
and confidence and intend to start the process
aggressively.
In the next newsletter we will publish an annual calendar reflecting the next year's events as we can predict them, including the July Youth Education event, (July 28 and 29), the September 1 dove hunt, and an October deer rifle tune-up. ( Enclosed is also a questionnaire soliciting your participation on board committees.) We believe that both you and the Chapter will benefit from your hands-on participation in the life of the Chapter. Please say "yes" when a committee calls on you for your help. The Kentuckiana Chapter of SCI has a rich history of achievement as is reflected in the 15-year retrospective we published last quarter. That history will serve as a foundation and launching pad to achieve an even higher level of service to the our hunting community, if we are all willing to join in that
