collective effort! So to you, I reiterate the many thank you's and kudo's I receive from our many beneficiaries. Together we are on track for another great year.
And thanks to the commitment of our fantastic fundraising committee, the generosity of our supporters and members and in spite of the lingering tough economy our chapter fundraiser was a grand success so our board of directors is working thru budget requests and finalizing the plans for a number of projects for this next fiscal year.
One such program is our; Youth and Apprentice Hunter program which is scheduled for the 7th and 8th of August which takes a considerable number of volunteers but is always as rewarding for the adults as it is the kids. We strive to have fun with all of our activities so check out the schedule of events here in and mark your calendars and plan us into your busy lives!
Another super program is our Outdoorsmen Overseas service men and women recognition program. There is a fantastic read about our most recent event in the following pages and as always you will also find a number of great hunt reports and adventures and a wealth of information. These too are the generous contributions of other KYSCI members so enjoy and also consider sharing your own experiences afield and other helpful information so that our track for another great year can include another newsletter award!

We recently received a request from our Safari Club friends in San Juan Puerto Rico for items for a sensory safari which will be a hands on exhibit in a new MUSEO VIDA SILVESTRE DE SAN JUAN (SAN JUAN WILDLIFE MUSEUM) a 52,000 Sq Ft; Wildlife Museum, Located just 4 miles from the main tourist sector of "Old San Juan", on the main transit highway this Museum will serve both the tourist community and be a unique teaching tool to the island student community. This is a non-profit municipality agency and is endorsed by SCI as a humanitarian project. KYANA SCI is working with UPS to get the donated items delivered to PR. If you have any skulls and horns, mounts or hides that you would like to donate please contact Mike Ohlmann.
